One of the top 5 shooters in the world!

On September 8th the Cavaliers got their three point threat in Damon Jones
Let's hope he knocks down some shots for us over the next four years.

Check out the article about it at ESPN

I almost got a little teary eye'd listening to this.

Just found THIS on the internet, Michael Stanley's awesome late '80s/early '90s Cavs them song:
Tonight's the Night (Hard Workin' Town Hard Workin' Team)

Man that song rocks... seriously, I love it.

So, visit the audio page and jam to the other tunes we got up there too.

Kinda Ugly, no?

This is the proposed logo for the "Q".

Usher doesn't approve.

Cavs Press Conference

The Cavs officially introduced Larry Hughes and Donyell Marshall this afternoon at a press conference at Q-Lo Arena. Larry says Lebron was recruiting him throughout the year and Marshall says it doesn't matter if he starts or comes of the bench. Mike Brown seems stoked to have a defensive player the quality of Larry.

Check out the video: Press Conference.

Gund Arena name change

No, it didn't convert to Islam, but the Gund Arena will be going by a new name. The Cavs and Quicken Loans have worked out an agreement to give the naming writes of the building to the biggest on-line mortgage company. Quicken Loans Arena, or "The Q" for short, will be the new home of the Cavaliers. PD article.

Works for me. I'll still probably call it the Gund for the next few years, but "The Quicks", "The Q", "The Q.L.A.", "Q-Lo" "The Raymond Usher III Dance Emporium" are all ok with me.

Cavs pick up Marshall

Reports have Donyell Marshall signing a four year deal worth between $20-$25 million according to ESPN. Marshall, who hit 12 three point field goals in a game versus Philly this past year, will be relied on heavily by Cavs to "sweet stroke that three ball" and to keep all the other Michael Reghi superlatives coming.

Whether Donyell starts or comes off the bench, the Cavs continue to add depth to their team. However, this raises more speculation about Drew Gooden's future with the Cavs. Could Drew be traded to get a PG? Draft Picks?

BIG Z returns

Rip Van Winkle's favorite player re-ups with the Cavs. Z signs a five year deal worth between $55-$60 million that will probably allow him to finish his career in Cleveland. With the signing of Hughes and Z, coupled with Lebron, the foundation is set for the Cavs.
Check out the ESPN article.

It's nice to see the Cavs actually have a plan and are working it. The ship has been listless in the past, and hopefully, now, with the new ownership and front office, the course is set and headed towards the New World.

Down to 6!

After a long, long struggle... somebody else actually found a pic of Darren Tillis. Apparently the old Cleveland State standout is now a coach at TSU and that's where a submitter (who goes by the name of "ferryisgod") found it and sent it to me.

Thanks!

Now I only have 6 players without pics.

Martyasdfialusdbgas Andkasglis

Danny got us another 7'3" Lithuanian.
Kid needs a sammich but I welcome Martynas Andriuskevicius to the fold.

Its been a while... stuff and Lebron's great sophmore year

OK, I haven't updated in a long time. But I have a decent excuse... I moved cross country and have been busy with real life.
Yes, the owner of Cavs History has moved... to Los Angeles. But don't worry, there is no chance I'm gonna make Clippers history or anything stupid like that.

Anyways, I have done a number of things, biggest of them all is adding this blog with an RSS feed (if you're nerdy you'll know what that means).

I've updated the coaches page to show Big Malone and Mike Brown

If you have been living under a rock you may have missed LBJ's awesome season. Seriously, 27-7-7? That is insane.
Yeah, he was an All-Star starter.
How about coming in 6th in MVP voting?
How about being named 2nd team all NBA?

More cool stuff, the LBJ III shoe has leaked to the web.

In addition he has a summer shoe dedicated to his rookie year's stat line: the 20-5-5.

Check out all his shoes while you're at it. I have 'em all, do you?
